The process itself takes only minutes; however, rendering the fully immersive digital replica takes a few hours.

While initial access limits users to private, solo experiences (shared access via private link coming soon), Meta has already demonstrated Hyperscape's potential with stunning recreations of diverse locations. From Gordon Ramsay's kitchen to Chance the Rapper's sneaker collection and even the UFC Octagon, these examples highlight Hyperscape's versatility and the level of detail achievable. The technology leverages Gaussian Splatting, cloud rendering, and streaming to deliver seamless, high-fidelity VR experiences on the Meta Quest 3 headset.
The gradual rollout began with the announcement, meaning not all users will have access immediately. This exciting development is part of a broader Meta push into immersive experiences, complemented by new fall VR game releases (including Marvel’s Deadpool VR and Star Wars: Beyond Victory), expanded Horizon TV content (with Disney+, ESPN, and Hulu integration), and partnerships bringing immersive movie experiences to the platform. Highlights include special effects-enhanced versions of films like "M3GAN" and "The Black Phone." A limited-time 3D clip from "Avatar: Fire and Ash" further demonstrates Meta's commitment to creating rich and diverse metaverse content.
